Our tour starts with the privately-owned vehicle picking you up from your address. Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal, we complete our check-in procedures and perform our Paris flight with Turkish Airlines' scheduled flight. After our arrival, with our vehicle waiting for us, we visit Rouen, a full medieval city where we can feel the historical texture in every corner of the city. With its imposing historical churches, perfect museums and vibrant cultural life, Rouen is one of Normandy's most interesting and historically rich destinations. After touring Rouen, we depart for our hotel located in Le Havre. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After morning breakfast, we explore the most important battlefields of the Normandy Landings carried out by the Allies in 1944. Arromanches is our first stop on this trip. The fact that all ports in the region are controlled by the Germans leads Winston Churchill to the idea of building an artificial port on the Normandy coast. 115 concrete pontoon ships made for this purpose in England are brought to the region by towing. On June 6, 1944, the ships bringing the pontoons are sunk in the bay to form an artificial breakwater. Pontoons are positioned for ships to dock and unload, and all kinds of ammunition and medical supplies are transported ashore via floating bridges over the sea. This engineering marvel project paves the way that will bring victory to the allies in a sense. In addition to these trips, we also visit the Landing Museum in Arromanches, and then depart for Mont St. Michel, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Established on a rocky island in the middle of the bay and a pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages, Mont St. Michel is one of the places where the amazing tidal event can best be observed. After passing to the island by private buses, we walk through the narrow old streets and see the Benedictine monastery from the outside. In the free time we will give, you can visit the shops in the narrow streets and taste its famous omelet. After Mont St. Michel, via the coast through Le Vivier Sur Mer, we arrive at St. Malo located in the Brittany region. After the walk we will make in the historical walled city, which was once a pirate lair, we move to our hotel where we will stay overnight. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After morning breakfast, after a half-hour journey, we arrive at Dinan located in the Brittany region. Dinan, which has an extraordinary geography, is also famous for its houses made of adobe and wood. After the coffee break we will give in Dinan, we go to Villandry Castle, which is famous for its gardens with an extraordinary landscape. We arrive at Villandry Castle, purchased in 1906 by Joachim Carvallo. In the castle, which is privately operated by the same family today, Napoleon Bonaparte's brother Jerome Bonaparte's bedroom, kitchen and dining room are worth seeing. After touring the magnificent gardens of the castle, we depart for the city of Tours and settle into the hotel after arrival. Overnight stay at our hotel.
After the breakfast we will have at our hotel, we go to Chenonceau Castle, considered the pearl of the Loire valley. The castle located on the Cher river is also known as the Castle of Ladies. The castle, whose construction started in the 11th century and was initially built as a fortress, passes to Henry II in 1547 with the death of François I. After Henry II gifts the castle to his mistress Diane de Poitiers, it is turned into a hunting lodge in a sense with a bridge built by Diane to the other side of the river. After the death of Henry II, the castle is taken by his wife Catherine De Medicis and reaches its current appearance with the additional building built on the bridge to erase the traces of Poitiers. Medicis refurnishes it according to her own taste with furniture brought from Italy. The two large gardens in the castle, especially whose kitchens are dazzling, take their names from Henry II's wife Catherine and his mistress Diane. After Chenonceau, after a half-hour journey, we move to the city of Amboise. Amboise Castle was built on a high hill overlooking the surroundings. This castle was used for the defense of the city for years. Da Vinci, who was invited as chief painter and engineer by François I in 1516, lives here until he died in 1519. The Saint Hubert chapel in Gothic style located in the garden of the castle is the place where he is buried. Especially the view of the city of Amboise over the castle walls is magnificent. At the end of the trip, we depart for Paris and settle into the hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel. First, we visit the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris as well as France, to enjoy the breathtaking view of the city. Afterwards, we depart to explore the Seine River by boat. We see the most magnificent buildings of Paris up close and experience unforgettable moments by passing under the bridges of the Seine River. During this boat cruise, sights to be seen include the American Church, National Assembly, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Orsay Museum, Cité Island, Notre Dame Cathedral, Palace of Justice, Conciergerie Prison, City Hall, Museum of Modern Art, and the Louvre Palace. After the river cruise, passing through the vibrant Pigalle District, one of the city's most attractive centers, we ascend to Montmartre Hill, known as the Hill of Painters, where bohemian life still continues today. After seeing the Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Votive Offering) here, we have free time to have our portraits drawn at Artists' Square and to have lunch. Following the tour of the Hill of Painters, we drive along the famous Champs Elysees avenue. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel and enjoy our free time.
After breakfast, we are free to explore the city as we wish until the time determined by our guide. We meet at the time set by our guide and then transfer to Paris Airport. We say hello to a new day as we fly to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines' scheduled flight.
