The Alhambra Palace, one of Granada's greatest treasures, is one of the most eye-catching and impressive examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture. Alhambra, one of Spain's most visited historical sites, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has gained worldwide fame. This famous work began to be built in the 13th century as a defensive fortress and palace on the plain on the Sabika hill overlooking Granada, and its construction continued until the 15th century. Because of the red color it took due to the red soil used in its construction, it was called Alhambra, meaning ''Red''. Our guests who wish can participate in our extra Magnificent Neighborhoods (Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy Neighborhood) tour. (60 Euro) Albaicin is a historical and fascinating neighborhood of Granada. This region, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is famous for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and hills with views. It bears the traces of Andalusian Islamic culture and architecture and reflects the history of Granada.
