CLIMATE
A continental climate is observed in our Southeastern Anatolia Region. The characteristics of a continental climate include cold and snowy winters, while summers are generally hot and arid. In areas where the continental climate prevails, winter begins early, and there is an average of 90 days of snow cover on the ground. Summers also begin as early as winter and are hot; however, because the humidity is low, this heat is not felt intensely, and there is a significant difference between night and day temperatures, as well as large annual temperature variations.
