CLIMATE
A continental climate is observed in our Southeastern Anatolia Region. The characteristics of a continental climate include cold and snowy winters, while summers are generally hot and arid. In areas where the continental climate prevails, winter begins early, and there is an average of 90 days of snow cover on the ground. Summers also begin as early as winter and are hot, but because the humidity is low, this heat is not felt as intensely; the temperature difference between day and night, as well as the annual temperature range, is very high.
