Gaziantep Şanlıurfa Göbeklitepe Tour with Flight - 1 Night

Our tour begins with our shuttle services departing at 02.30 from Beylikdüzü Migros, 03.00 from Yenibosna Airport Mall, 03.30 from in front of the Prontotour Office in Şişli, and 04.00 from next to the Kadıköy Marriage Office parking lot, heading to Sabiha Gökçen Airport. At the airport, we complete our check-in procedures for our flight using our ID cards or driver's licenses. Guests arriving at the airport by their own means will meet us at 04.30 in front of the AJET Airlines counter to pass through security and depart for Gaziantep with the 06.40 AJET Airlines flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Gaziantep. First, we head to a restaurant for our extra breakfast. Afterward, we visit the Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, where we can see the magnificent floor and wall mosaics recovered from the ancient city of Zeugma, which is now submerged. After visiting this magnificent museum, we reach the Tahmis Coffeehouse, one of the symbols of Antep, whose history dates back to Sultan Murad IV. After having coffee here, you can do some shopping for tomato paste, dried peppers, spices, Antep pistachios, and baklava during the free time given at the Almacılar Bazaar. Then, we reach the Bald Ibis (Kelaynak) Protection Center located in the Birecik district. After our break here, we head to Halfeti, which will fascinate you with its natural beauty, established on the banks of the Euphrates River. Guests who wish can join our Halfeti boat tour (Extra) to see Rumkale, Savaşan Village, historical cave houses, and structures submerged under water. After this unique experience, we return to Halfeti. We take a short break after getting off the boat in Halfeti. Afterward, we head to our hotel in Urfa.

ŞANLIURFA - BALIKLI GÖL - AYN ZELİHA LAKE - GÜMRÜK HAN - GÖBEKLİTEPE - HARRAN

Our tour continues after breakfast at the hotel with a visit to the Göbeklitepe Sacred Site, the apple of the eye of world archaeology, where archaeological work is still ongoing and which houses the first temple known in the world. Afterward, we follow the road to the Akçakale border gate and reach our Harran district, which means intersecting roads and where the belief in the moon goddess Sin existed in the Mesopotamian culture on the Silk Road. Here, we visit the Harran Mound, which exists at a height of 22 meters in the middle of the city of Harran, the Camii el Firdevs (Mosque of Paradise) built by the Umayyad Caliph Marwan, which features a wooden dome, the first Islamic Madrasa (Harran University) established in Anatolia located in its courtyard, the Inner Castle, Historical Walls, and Conical Domed Houses. Then, we start heading towards Şanlıurfa. After free time, we go to our restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we start touring Şanlıurfa. Here, we first visit Balıklı Göl (The Pool of Sacred Fish). Immediately after, we visit the Halil-ür Rahman Mosque, the cave believed to be the place of Prophet Abraham, the old Mevlid-i Halil Mosque, the new Mevlid-i Halil Mosque, Ayn-ı Zeliha Lake, and the Halil-ür Rahman Lake, which is accepted as the place where Prophet Abraham was thrown into the fire. After our tours, we will give free time at Gümrük Han, one of the symbols of Urfa, where many TV series sets have been established. During this time, you can do your shopping for local isot, textiles, and other items. Then, we arrive at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport and return to Istanbul with the 19.35 Ajet Airlines flight from Şanlıurfa to Istanbul. We say goodbye with sadness as we drop off our valued guests at the points where we picked them up, boarding our shuttle vehicles waiting for us in Istanbul to meet again in another Prontotour organization.

CLIMATE

A continental climate is observed in our Southeastern Anatolia Region. The characteristic of the continental climate is that winters are cold and snowy, and summers are generally hot and arid. In places where the continental climate is seen, winter starts early, and there is an average of 90 days of snow cover on the ground. Summers also start as early as winter and are hot, but since the humidity is low, this heat is not felt much; the temperature difference between night and day and the annual temperature difference are very high.
