Figueres is a city located northeast of Girona and known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the famous Spanish painter Salvador Dalí. The most important tourist spot in Figueres is the Salvador Dalí Museum. Dalí established a museum here to leave something behind for his birthplace and to exhibit his works. This museum currently houses the largest Dalí collection and, since Dalí designed every part of it, is referred to as Dalí's greatest masterpiece. Called a fairytale park, this park creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairs and imaginative pavilions. After seeing this magnificent work of Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its narrow and labyrinthine streets from the medieval period, gothic churches, romantic squares, Roman walls, and look at the historical texture with admiration. Among the most important structures in the neighborhood are Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King's Square), and La Rambla. After our tour, guests who wish can join the optionally organized Magnificent Sitges Tour (40 Euros). Sitges is a charming seaside town located southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean coast. Famous for its turquoise sea, beautiful beaches, and lively atmosphere, it is also known for its art and culture events, hosting many art galleries, museums, and festivals. We will start our trip from the magical stairs of the San Bartolome-Santa Tecla cathedral and lose ourselves in its historical streets. Dating back to the 17th century, this cathedral rises on the remains of former Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral with awe, our next journey is through the historical streets of Sitges; the Maricel Palace and Museum, located within the medieval city center and being one of the rare examples of Modernism, is practically a paradise for collection lovers. The place we will stop right across from it is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in the Catalonia region. When he started to exhibit his paintings here in Sitges, he also took on the biggest role in making the town so well-known. After seeing the colorful houses and cute bars in the narrow streets where the Sitges Festival—the scene of horror and fantasy film categories, swarmed by thousands of people every year—is celebrated, we will head towards the beach and spend the rest of our day having fun like the locals here. After our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
