Rhone River Burgundy and Provence with Deluxe Amadeus Provence IST-GENEVA

Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal, in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at 04:00. After check-in and passport procedures, flight to Geneva with flight TK 1917 at 07:25. Arrival at 09:35 local time. After passport and customs procedures, transfer to our ship at the port of Lyon with our waiting vehicle. After an approximately 1.5-hour journey, we will first carry out our Panoramic City Tour in Lyon. During our tour, we will explore France's third-largest city after Paris and Marseille, founded 2000 years ago at the confluence of the Saone and Rhone rivers. During our tour, the elegant Opera House and City Hall, the Fourviere Basilica dedicated to the Virgin Mary located at the highest point of the city and its viewing terrace, the narrow streets of Old Lyon, Lyon Cathedral, and Bellecour Square will be among the places to see. After the tour, we transfer to our ship waiting for us at the port in the afternoon and complete our check-in procedures. Dinner follows the Captain's welcome cocktail. Our ship will weigh anchor and start its voyage at 22:00. 

Our ship will dock in Macon, located in southern Burgundy, in the morning. In this city with a history of approximately 2000 years, after breakfast, those who wish can join the optional Maconnais and Beaujolais Wine Region Tour, where some of the world's most expensive wines are produced, organized by their guide. Our ship will weigh anchor in the late afternoon and set off towards Chalon-sur-Saône. 

After breakfast, those who wish can join the optional Beaune Tour organized by their guide. During our full-day tour, the Hotel Dieu Museum, one of the most special examples of 15th-century Burgundian architecture, and the Cormatin Castle, built in Renaissance style in the early 17th century, will be among the places to see. Meanwhile, our ship will weigh anchor in the afternoon and set off towards Tournus, arriving in the evening. After the tour, we return to our ship in Tournus. After breakfast on board, free time in Lyon where we will stay until noon. In the afternoon, we will be cruising towards Avignon accompanied by wonderful views.

This morning we dock in the historic city of Avignon, which also hosted the Papal seat in the 14th century. After breakfast on board, those who wish can join the optional Baux de Provence, Carrieres de Lumieres Show, and Avignon Tour organized by their guide. First, you will fall in love with the magical atmosphere and nature of Baux, which we will reach after an approximately half-hour journey. Then, we will visit an interactive museum called Carrieres de Lumieres, a very special exhibition held inside an old stone quarry. In an area of approximately 7000 m2, accompanied by sometimes lively, sometimes melancholic music, we will experience more than 2000 works projected onto the walls of the giant stone quarry. On our walking tour in Avignon upon our return, the Palace of the Popes (excluding entrance), Avignon Cathedral, narrow streets unique to the Provence region, the historic theater where Moliere performed, and the Benezet bridge will be among the places we will see. At the end of the tour, we will have free time to explore and shop for local products unique to Provence such as lavender, soap, and spices. Our ship will weigh anchor during dinner and continue its voyage. 

This morning we dock in Arles, which is also identified with the world-famous painter Van Gogh. Those who wish can join the optional St. Remy de Provence & Van Gogh Museum / Aix en Provence tour organized by their guide. The biggest reason why the village of St. Remy de Provence is so well-known is that it hosts the psychology clinic where Van Gogh received treatment for about 2 years and painted almost all of his well-known paintings. Today, this clinic has been turned into a museum. Afterwards, we will visit Aix en Provence, one of the most well-known cities in the Provence region. We will follow the traces of Cezanne and remember Emile Zola, who shaped French history. After the tour, we return to our ship in Arles.

After breakfast, our ship will depart from Chateauneuf du Rhone, where it will dock after midnight, and weigh anchor towards Le Pouzin. Those who wish can join the optional Grignan Village, Lavender Fields, and Truffle Hunting Tour organized by their guide, which will start early in the morning. Our tour, where you will have a very different and unique experience, will definitely remain in your memories. In the afternoon, our ship will proceed accompanied by magnificent views, make a technical stop in Tournon, and then sail towards its final destination, Lyon.  

After breakfast on board, we complete our check-out procedures from the ship. Then, on our transfer to Geneva, where our return flight is, we will take a break in Annecy, one of the most beautiful cities in France. After the walking tour we will carry out here, we will have free time. Afterwards, transfer to Geneva Airport with an approximately 1-hour journey.
