From here, after a pleasant boat journey of approximately 30 minutes by ferry, we reach Isla Mujeres, which means "Island of Women" in Turkish. On this fascinating island, where the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea meet, dating back 15,000 years to the Mayas and being part of the Ekab province, we fully enjoy the sea, sand, and sun on beaches famous for their turquoise waters. After strolling through the colorful streets of the island and enjoying some free time, we return to Cancun by ferry. Overnight stay in Cancun at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Merida. On our route, we will do the Chichen Itza & Cenote tour. During this tour, the Kukulkan Pyramid, Caracol, Cenote Tiger Temple, and the Temple of the Warriors are among the places to be seen. The biggest factor in this fame of the Kukulkan Pyramid, which is the most famous among the structures to be visited and was chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007, is undoubtedly the scientific observations used in the construction of the architecture. Each of the steps located on the pyramid, built by the Mayas hundreds of years ago, represents parts of the 365 days in a year. Afterwards, we will have our Cenote visit. Immortalized by the ritual of throwing sacrifices and objects to the cenote for the rain god Chaac, today you must experience it with its exquisitely beautiful nature and underground pools that offer swimming opportunities. After our tour, we continue our journey to Merida. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. Accommodation at our Merida hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we complete our check-out procedures from the hotel and hit the road. After a 4-hour road journey, we will reach Campeche. Along our route, we will visit the Uxmal Ancient City in the Puuc region. After arriving at the ancient city, which is one of the most important centers belonging to the Mayan civilization and dates back to the 5th century, we receive information about the ancient city and the Mayas. We tour the wide cultural structure, impressive architecture, and pyramids of the city, which was also occupied by the Toltec civilization before the Spanish colonies. We continue our journey at the end of the tour. Upon our arrival, we explore the historic center in this colonial city on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We take a pleasant walk in the city center, which resembles an open-air museum with its pastel-colored colonial houses and cobblestone streets. We see the historic walls of the city, which was the most important port of the Yucatan Peninsula until the mid-19th century built against pirates, and the main square, Plaza de la Independencia. After free time in the city, which is a paradise for photography enthusiasts with its colorful facades, we proceed to our hotel and spend the night there. Accommodation in Campeche.
After breakfast at the hotel, we start our journey to Palenque. Upon our arrival, we explore the ruins of Palenque, rising among tropical forests on the slopes of the Tumbala Mountains, known in the native Nahuatl language as the "Quetzal Mountain", which is one of the most important archaeological and natural centers of the Chiapas state. Palenque, one of the most impressive heritage sites in the world, also houses the most elegant architectural, sculptural, and relief examples of the Maya Classic Period in Mexico and Central America. We learn that the city experienced its golden age during the period of Pacal, its greatest ruler who reigned for 68 years in the 7th century. We tour the Grand Palace, the Temple-Pyramid of the Inscriptions from which King Pakal's tomb was excavated, and the Temple of the Sun, which are the most magnificent among countless structures. Following this fascinating exploration we made in the unique atmosphere of the tropical forest, we transfer to our hotel. Accommodation at our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Tuxtla. Our journey will take approximately 6 hours. Upon our arrival, we start the Tuxtla Gutiérrez tour. We visit Cathedral Square and Main Square in the city center and explore the colorful streets with a pleasant walk. Afterwards, we depart for the magnificent Sumidero Canyon, located just 5 km from the capital of the Chiapas state. This majestic gorge, carved and shaped by the Grijalva River for millions of years, paints a breathtaking picture with its sheer rock walls exceeding 1000 meters in places. The waters of the river, crossing the Chiapas and Tabasco states to reach the Gulf of Mexico, form a unique natural corridor along the canyon. We find the opportunity to watch the deep valley, steep slopes, and rich vegetation from above through viewpoint terraces (miradores). Following this exploration where we feel the power and magnificence of nature, we return to our hotel and spend the night there.
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and set off for Santo Domingo Tehuantepec with a scenic road journey. We start our exploration upon arrival at this warm and colorful Zapotec town, which was the second most important city of the region after Oaxaca during the colonial period. First, we see the magnificent Santo Domingo Church and Old Monastery built by Dominican friars in the mid-16th century, and the structure converted into the San Pedro Cathedral. Afterwards, we stop in front of the 7-meter-tall magnificent Monument of the Tehuana Woman made of stainless steel, rising at the entrance of the town; we give a pleasant photo break in front of this monument symbolizing the region's strong women's culture and the identity of the Tehuana woman famous for her hand-embroidered huipils. Then we discover the Puebla Cathedral, which draws attention with its magnificent architecture, carries a blend of Baroque and Renaissance influences, and is considered one of Latin America's most impressive cathedrals. We continue our tour with the Capilla del Rosario, famous for its gold embroidery and detailed decorations, referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the New World"; its fascinating interior architecture literally transports visitors out of time. We give free time at Parian Market, one of the most colorful stops of the city; Talavera ceramics, handicraft products, and souvenirs await you in this authentic market. After our city tour, we transfer to our hotel to rest. Overnight at our hotel.

During the tour, we visit very important historical structures such as the Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon, and the Avenue of the Dead. Different views are also put forward regarding the foundation date of this ancient city, whose founders and the reason for its sudden abandonment have not yet been clarified. The locations of the structures in the city of Teotihuacan are arranged in such a way as to be the reflection of the Orion Constellation on the ground, just like the pyramids in Giza, and at the same time, starting from the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, to be the reflection of the planets on the ground. After our tour in these magical places, we transfer to our Mexico City hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Our trip will begin with the historical center of the city, which is included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO: the giant Constitution Square known as Zocalo; the Metropolitana Cathedral built on the site of an Aztec temple; the Palacio Nacional Government Palace, which contains the murals depicting Mexican history by the famous artist Diego Rivera, are among the places we will see. In this museum, where archaeological and anthropological artifacts belonging to pre-Columbian Mexico are exhibited, the Sun Stone and the Statue of Xochipili are some of the most striking artifacts. Afterwards, we will visit the Frida Kahlo Museum. Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, who became a pop culture icon of the twentieth century, explains the reason for painting herself in her paintings with these words: “I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best.” “La Casa Azul – The Blue House”, which contains about 300 pieces of belongings belonging to Frida Kahlo, whose painting was bought by the Louvre Museum and about whom Picasso said “We don't know how to paint human faces like she does”, welcomes visitors from all over the world every year.
