Day 1

ABANT LAKE - SAFRANBOLU - TANNERY MUSEUM

Our tour starts by picking you up from 07.00 Yenibosna Airport AVM Parking Lot, 07.30 in front of Prontotour Headquarters in Şişli, 08.00 next to Kadıköy Tepe Nautilus AVM (Ayrılık Çeşme Metro Station İspark Parking Lot), 08.15 Kartal Bridge (E-5 Ankara direction), 08.30 in front of Gebze Center AVM, 09.00 İzmit Halk Evi Bus Stop (from İzmit - Adapazarı direction), and 09.10 at the bus stops in front of İzmit Bus Terminal (opposite ROMATEM), and we head towards Abant Lake at the foothills of Bolu Mountain via Adapazarı. Due to the richness of the flora of Abant Lake and its surroundings and its great outdoor recreation potential, a large part of the area has been declared a "National Park" and taken under protection. During the free time given by our guide here, you can take a walk by the lake. After having lunch around Abant Lake, we set off for our district, which is under the protection of UNESCO and named Safranbolu due to the abundance of saffron. Passing through the streets that reflect the spirit of Safranbolu, we visit Cinci Inn (Panoramic), Bazaar, Arasta (Shoemakers' Bazaar), Köprülü Mosque, Sundial, and the Saddlers-Drapers-Blacksmiths-Coppersmiths Bazaars, and then we go up to Hıdırlık Hill to see the city from above. After taking beautiful photos, we return to the city center and visit the famous Turkish delight shop of the historical city, where we get information about Turkish delight and have the opportunity to taste and shop for delicious Turkish delights. Afterwards, we visit Turkey's first and only excursion tannery, which has an 800-year history in Safranbolu and has survived from nearly 200 tanneries. After our trip, we check into our hotel. Dinner and accommodation are at our hotel. With our guests who wish, we go to the Crystal Terrace (Glass Observation Terrace) (Extra), which was built on Tokatlı Canyon, inspired by the glass terrace in the Grand Canyon in America. From the observation terrace, which has a capacity to carry approximately 400 people, we have the opportunity to take panoramic photos of the "Tokatlı Canyon" and the İncekaya Aqueduct.

TREE TUNNEL - AMASRA - ZONGULDAK - MINING MUSEUM

Our tour continues after breakfast at our hotel, heading towards Amasra via Bartın. On the way, we take a short break at the Tree Tunnel, which has a natural beauty with its appearance resembling a tunnel as a result of the tree branches closing in on each other. The road, which turns into a yellow and red tree tunnel in autumn, welcomes us with a lush green tunnel view in summer and spring. We reach Amasra, which was founded by the Amazons according to Strabo, takes its name from a Persian princess Amastris, has the unique beauties of the Black Sea, and is where Fatih Sultan Mehmet asked his tutor, "Is this my 'Çeşm-i Cihan' (Eye of the World)?". While walking through the streets of the city surrounded by walls that still maintain their splendor, the Kemere Bridge connecting a small island to the mainland, Fatih Mosque (Church), Chapel, Sormagir Gate, Dungeons, Genoese Reliefs, and the Çekiciler Bazaar will be the main works we will see. After our trips, we take a lunch break at Amasra's famous fish restaurants. After lunch consisting of sea fish and Amasra salad, we leave the city and start our return journey to Zonguldak. First, we visit the Gökgöl Cave, 875 meters of which is open to tourism. After our cave trip, we visit the 'Mining Museum', which is Turkey's first and only mining museum and reflects the conditions of underground production of hard coal. Here, along with our museum tour, we descend to the old training mine (if open) with our guests who wish. After our museum tour, we give free time in the port area. Then we leave the city and start our return journey. We return to Istanbul via Düzce - Adapazarı. We drop you off at the points where we picked you up, hoping to see you in the next Prontotour organization, and we say goodbye to you with sadness. Goodbye.

CLIMATE

The Black Sea climate is effective on the Western Black Sea coastline, and this effect loses its impact as you move inland. The Black Sea climate, which is effective on the coast, shows some differences compared to other parts of the region. The amount of precipitation in the section is less than the Eastern Black Sea and more than the Central Black Sea. The annual precipitation on the coastline is 1200 millimeters. For example; Zonguldak receives 1220 mm and Bartın receives 1071 mm of precipitation. The annual precipitation in the interior falls below 600 millimeters. For example; it is 536 mm in Bolu and 461 mm in Kastamonu. Precipitation is higher on the north-facing slopes of the mountains. The main reason for this is that moist air masses coming over the Black Sea rise on the mountain slopes and leave precipitation. The winter season in the section is colder than the Central and Eastern Black Sea Regions. Cold air masses coming from Central Europe in winter cause snowfall in the Western Black Sea. If we briefly summarize the characteristics of the Western Black Sea Region according to the region: -It is colder than the Central and Eastern Black Sea Regions because it is open to cold air masses coming from Central Europe in winter -The annual precipitation is 1200 millimeters on the coast and about 600 millimeters in the interior.
