Western Mediterranean with Costa Pacifica Ending in Istanbul

Meeting at Istanbul Airport 4 hours before the flight and after our check-in procedures, we perform our flight to Milan (MXP) Airport. Following our landing at Milan Airport, our transfer takes place to our ship located in the port of Savona.

After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the optional Rome City Tour organized by our guide. In this full-day tour, after a 1-hour and 15-minute journey with our bus waiting for us at the port of Civitavecchia, we take a panoramic tour by bus in Rome, where sights to see include; Castel Sant’Angelo, Tiber River, Borghese Park, Via Veneto, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Nazionale, Theatre of Marcellus, Circo Massimo, and the Forum areas. Afterwards, we explore Rome's famous squares on foot. Sights to see include; Piazza della Rotonda (Pantheon), Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, where we finish our tour and take a shopping break. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

After breakfast on the ship, guests who wish may join the optional Pompeii & Naples City Tour organized by our guide. Naples, the famous port of the Campania Region, is one of the few European cities where antiquity has never completely disappeared. Founded by the Greeks and developed and expanded by the Romans, the city has been the most precious treasure for foreign invaders over the centuries. The extension of such a past to the present day is a noisy, high-crime rate, somewhat untidy, somewhat chaotic but worth-seeing metropolis. In this tour, while visiting human and house ruins in Pompeii, which remained under the ashes of Mount Vesuvius, you will experience the incredible destruction and power of nature that can be created upon us. Afterwards, we will drop by Naples and see the Royal Square after a panoramic bus tour. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

We head to Cefalu, the famous fishing village and the most popular holiday resort of Sicily, which has a magical past with its colorful geography mixed with the sea and the sky. Located to the east of Palermo and on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Cefalu is one of the most important touristic centers of Sicily with its medieval narrow streets, houses, turquoise blue sea, and long sandy beach. Cefalu, which is also a typical fishing village, attracts attention primarily with its famous Cathedral built in the 12th century and the historical washhouse dating back to the Roman period. On our return from Cefalu, we will have time to see the city of Palermo, which has been the subject of movies as the center of the Sicilian mafia. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship. After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join our optional Mosta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk tour organized by our guide. Our first stop is Mosta. In this tour, we visit the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, which has the third largest dome in Europe. The interior paintings of this massive basilica, whose dome has an external diameter of 56.2 meters, were particularly made by the painter Giuseppe Cali. We will see the replica of the 200 kg unexploded bomb dropped by German Nazi planes during World War II in 1942, which pierced the dome and got stuck in the floor of the church, and we will get information about the interior and exterior architecture of the church. Afterwards, we visit Mdina, the old capital of Malta, which served as a natural set where many scenes of the famous series Game of Thrones were filmed. While wandering through the narrow streets of this medieval city known as the silent city, we will see the magnificent Saint Paul's Cathedral, Falson Palace built in the 13th century by the Falson family, one of the noble families of Malta, the Carmelite Monastery built in the Baroque style in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and the old houses of Mdina. Afterwards, our tour will continue by visiting the fishing village named “Marsaxlokk”. You should not miss the scenery offered by the small charming fishing boats with unique colors and designs of Malta called Luzzo. At the same time, we will have free time in this charming fishing village where an open-air market is set up, for our guests who wish to have lunch at local restaurants offering menus consisting of fresh fish and seafood. In this tour, Agora, Temple of Zeus, Parliament Building, Syntagma - Omonia Squares, Presidential Mansion, Prime Minister's Residence, Historical Olympic Stadium, National Gallery, War Museum, Panepistimiou boulevards, National Library, and Academy University are among the important places we will see. Then we set off towards the Acropolis. At the end of our tour, we return to our ship.
