Our tour, after breakfast at our hotel in the morning, starts exploring Sheki, which has a unique structure with its rich historical past, architecture, art, culture, and cuisine. We start our tour with our visit to the Upper Caravanserai, which is used as a hotel today. After photographing the caravanserai, which will impress you with its courtyard and size, we take a break for you to buy products made of silk in Sheki, which is recorded in old travel books as the most important silk production center of the Caucasus. The traditional shawl made of world-famous and award-winning Sheki silk is called "kelagayi". Decorated with patterns specific to the region and used in daily life or on special occasions, this headscarf was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2014. During the break, you can walk on historically important stone streets and photograph historical buildings. The old historical houses of Sheki are very similar to house designs in Anatolia and Istanbul. Built generally as single or two stories, mansions made with traditional architecture such as stone and brick mixed exterior, large wooden windows, and bay windows were built in different structures to tell class affiliation. After our break, we head to the fortress. Getting off our car, we start exploring the fortress and the historical artifacts inside. KARS - ANİ RUINS - SARIKAMIŞ - ERZURUM

Our tour starts after breakfast at our hotel, as we set out to completely immerse ourselves in the magic of this fantastic eastern city, which has been shining brightly in recent times, and to closely examine Kars' rich cultural and historical texture. Our first stop will be Fethiye Mosque, built as a church in the late 19th century by the Russians in the Baltic architectural style and converted into a mosque in 1985. This historical transition stands out as an example reflecting Kars' cultural wealth. Afterwards, we proceed to the Church of the Apostles (Kümbet Mosque), built at the foot of Kars Castle. This church draws attention as a prominent example of the Armenian-Georgian architectural style. The details of the structure offer important clues reflecting the history and culture of the region. Afterwards, we go for a walk in the streets of Kars. In this region, called the land of 'Minstrels' (Aşıks), we witness Anatolia's rich gastronomy and cultural heritage. We step into the region's gourmet world by tasting delicacies such as honey, Kashar cheese, Gruyère cheese, piti, hangel, kete, goose meat, and trout. We visit the Stone Bridge (Taşköprü), which has survived from the Roman period and is still in use. This bridge stands out as a structure emphasizing the historical and geographical importance of the region. Similarly, the Historical Bath offers us a historical journey as a structure extending from the past to the present. While wandering around the city, we encounter structures where all the subtleties of Russian architecture are reflected, and we feel almost as if we are taking a trip outside of Turkey. By seeing the house where our famous poet Namık Kemal once lived, we witness Kars' literary and cultural importance. Following this natural beauty, we head to the Ani Ruins, added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Located in Ocaklı village right next to the Arpaçay River, which forms the border with Armenia today, the monumental structures to be seen in the ruins will include the Church of Tigran Honents, the Cathedral of Ani, the Convent of the Virgins, the Menuçehr Mosque, and the Abughamrents (Poladoğlu) Church. CLIMATE

It is a generally temperate climate type with precipitation in all seasons. Frontal and orographic precipitation is dominant. The presence of high mountains parallel to the coast in the region has created an environment for increased precipitation. Although there are no significant differences among precipitation amounts in the region, the highest precipitation is seen in autumn and the least in spring. The region is also the most humid region of our country in terms of humidity. Therefore, the annual and daily temperature differences are not large in the region. At the same time, winters are not very cold in the region, but they are rainy. Precipitation is mostly in the form of rain, while snowfall, frost events, and frequent fog can also be seen. Summer months are also temperate in the region. The average of the warmest month does not exceed 22°C-24°C. The average temperature of the coldest month is always above 0°C. From time to time, cold air masses coming from the northwest affect the region, but this effect disappears as one goes east of the region. Depending on its geographical characteristics, the region shows variations in terms of temperature and precipitation. Precipitation occurs as the cool and humid air coming over the Black Sea rises along the North Anatolian Mountains. Due to the high altitude in the Eastern Black Sea Section, the highest precipitation is seen in this section. The average annual precipitation amount is 2000 mm (Rize 2300 mm). On the southern part of the North Anatolian Mountains, this value drops down to 300 mm. The Central Black Sea Section, on the other hand, is the least rainy section of the region due to the decrease in altitude. Here, the average annual precipitation amount is around 700 mm. In the Western Black Sea Section, parallel to the fact that the altitude is lower compared to the Eastern Black Sea Section, precipitation in this section is less than in the Eastern Black Sea Section. The annual precipitation amount is around 1200 mm. Throughout the region, the annual precipitation amount can exceed 2000 mm, especially in the Eastern Black Sea Section, while it can drop down to 600 mm in the Central Black Sea Section.
