After a journey of approximately 1 hour, our first stop will be the Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion. This three-story pavilion covered with gold leaf is one of the most famous and well-known historical structures in Kyoto and has been accepted by the world as a perfect example of Kitayama garden landscaping art. Thanks to these features, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as an important cultural asset of the old capital Kyoto as of 1994. We will continue our tour with Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is a Buddhist temple and also known as the pure water monastery. The temple offers beautiful views of the distant city of Kyoto, as well as numerous cherry trees and maples that explode in a colorful sea in spring and autumn. The main hall, built without nails along with the stage, houses the temple's main object of worship, a small statue of the eleven-faced, thousand-armed Kannon. After the free time we will give for lunch, we will visit the Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka streets leading up to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Sannenzaka is a paved pedestrian path and a tourist attraction. Surrounded by traditional buildings and shops, the path is often used in conjunction with Ninenzaka, a similar path. Sannenzaka is a narrow, sloping road filled with about 60 shops and restaurants selling Kyoto's traditional products and food. There are also important shops where visitors can experience Japanese culture closely, including Ochaya (teahouses) where tea ceremonies are held, and Geiko (the name given to Geishas in Kyoto) and Maiko (Geiko apprentices) makeup. In the last part of the tour, we will visit Gion, Kyoto's famous geisha district. Return to Osaka and our hotel at the end of the tour.
Free time after breakfast at our hotel. Our guests who wish can participate in the optional Sanda Premium Outlet and Nara tour organized by our guide. Our overnight stay is at our hotel in Osaka.
Note: This morning, when leaving the hotel for the tour, we need to leave a small bag for one night in our room. The large suitcases we leave at the hotel will be transferred to our hotel in Tokyo before us and will reach us the next day.
→ Sanda Premium Outlet and Nara tour | 150 EUR adult - 115 EUR child (04-11.99 years old)
We start our tour with Sanda Premium Outlets, one of Japan's most popular shopping centers. In this outlet center, which hosts approximately 210 stores, we will be able to find many world-famous brands such as Coach, Michael Kors, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Onitsuka Tiger, The North Face, Polo Ralph Lauren, and many more at advantageous prices. After the free time we will give for shopping, we move to Nara, the first capital of Japan. We start our tour here with our visit to Nara Park. Nara Park is a public park located at the foot of Mount Wakakusa. It was established in 1880 and is one of the oldest parks in Japan. There are more than 1,200 wild Sika Deer roaming freely in the park. Because of these deer, it is also called Nara deer park. After the park, we will continue with Todai-ji Temple. Todaiji, besides being the world's largest wooden structure, also houses the world's largest Buddha statue, which is called Daibutsu in Japanese. Return to Osaka and our hotel at the end of our tour.
After breakfast at our hotel, we complete our check-out procedures and transfer to Shin-Osaka train station. We arrive at Tokyo Shinagawa train station with a journey of approximately 3 hours by Shinkansen, the world's first high-speed train. From here, we start our Tokyo tour by our vehicle. Our first stop will be Akihabara, one of Tokyo's most famous neighborhoods worldwide. Akihabara is an extremely crowded shopping district famous for its various types of electronics stores, from small street stalls to very large shopping centers. After our tour in Akihabara, also known as the electronics city, we continue our tour with the Ginza district, one of the city's most popular shopping areas, full of luxury boutiques as well as first-class cocktail and sushi bars. → Tokyo tour | 150 EUR adult - 115 EUR child (04-11.99 years old)
Our first stop will be the Asakusa Temple, also known as Senso-Ji Temple, a Buddhist temple considered one of the oldest and most colorful temples in Tokyo. Also called Santa-jama (Temple of the Three Gods), the temple attracts great interest from both tourists and locals. It is one of the few temples in Tokyo that survived the bombings in the final year of World War II, and for this reason, the original structure of the building remains intact. Built in 1649, the temple was allegedly constructed to honor three brothers who were deified after finding a statue of the goddess Kannon in a river. We will also see the shopping street called Nakamise in the area. Afterwards, we head to Tokyo Skytree, the tallest structure in Japan and one of the symbols of Tokyo. This impressive 634-meter-high tower offers the most beautiful panoramic views of Tokyo. Guests who wish may go up to the observation deck to enjoy the unique view of the city (entrance fee is excluded). Then, we discover Tokyo from a different perspective with a pleasant boat trip we will take on the Sumida River. While passing under historical bridges, we will have the opportunity to photograph the unique views created by modern skyscrapers and traditional Japanese architecture. After free time for lunch, we will visit the Meiji Shrine, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the souls of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. After this, we will tour the Shibuya district, one of the most crowded areas of Tokyo. Shibuya, one of the most important places in the city for young people, stands out with its developed structure, cafes, and world-famous stores. Return to our hotel after the tour.
After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Mount Fuji and Hakone tour organized by our guide. Overnight stay at our hotel in Tokyo.
→ Mount Fuji and Hakone tour | 165 EUR adult - 125 EUR child (04-11.99 years old)
We will start our tour with Mount Fuji, which is 2.5 hours away. Mount Fuji, which earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013, is accepted as the highest mountain in Japan and the sacred symbol of the country. Although Mount Fuji is generally thought to be a single mountain, it actually consists of three separate volcanoes. Located on the island of Honshu and on the border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, Mount Fuji is only 100 kilometers away from Tokyo and can even be seen from high buildings in Tokyo on a cloudless day. After the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji, we will set off for the town of Hakone. We start our Hakone tour with the Owakudani Valley, a volcanic formation. Owakudani is a valley located around a crater formed during the last eruption of Mount Hakone about 3000 years ago. Today, a large part of the region is an active volcanic area with sulfurous fumes, hot springs, and hot rivers. We will enjoy the view of this magnificent valley by taking the cable car up from Togendai. After free time for lunch, we will move to Lake Ashi. After a pleasant boat trip on the lake with a wooden pirate ship that will last about 30 minutes, we will return to Tokyo and our hotel by our vehicle.
After receiving our breakfast boxes from our hotel, we complete our check-out procedures and transfer to Tokyo Haneda Airport. After our ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 08:30 with ANA flight number NH219. Landing at Istanbul Airport at 16:10 local time and the end of our tour. We say goodbye to meet again on our next exclusive and pleasant trip.
